Exercise Class Timetable

Welcome to the Exercise Class Timetable for the Kings Of Wessex Leisure Centre

Below you will find a full weekly timetable and then a paragraph for each exercise session, detailing intensity levels and what to expect from the session.

  • All class times include set-up and set-down times
  • Unless otherwise stated by the instructor, the minimum age for all classes is 16
  • Please arrive 5 minutes before the class is due to start
  • No admittance for late attendees
  • Please remember to bring a refillable drinks container to your class
  • You are advised to book for any class you wish to attend
  • Don't forget that Premier Card Holders are not charged for any class.

  • All Instructors are fitness qualified and on the register of exercise professionsals (REPS).
  • Your Instructor can give you options for all exercise during a class if you require this or
    if you have any medical conditions, so just ask!
  • If you are new to exercise, or have any medical conditions, we recommend that you speak
    to your GP before participating in any physical activity.

50+

Low impact, low intensity session to increase flexibility, strength and mobility.

Aerobics

An energising exercise to music session that burns fat, improves co-ordination and maximises cardio efficiency

Aqua

A unique exercise to music class that uses water as a resistance to achieve toning and fat loss. This class will challenge most fitness levels and is low impact.

Body Tone

A creative session that comprises low to medium impact aerobic work and muscle toning activity. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Body Conditioning

A general shaping up session that uses light hand weights to tone the whole body.

Bums, Legs and Tums

Fantastic for shaping up the lower body, this motivating class does exactly what it say's on the tin! Intensive conditioning using no more than your own body weight, you'll be surprised at how quickly you see results.

Circuit Training

A challenging, station based session, which enables you to work as hard as you want to, without the pressure of keeping up with others, but still intensive enough to know you have a full body workout.

Fitness Pilates

A group exercise programme to enhance the posture, strength, balance and stability of a healthy adult.

Pump

We all know that resistance based exercise is a vital component of any workout, but not everyone enjoys using the gym. Using light weights and high repetitions, this choreographed class is easy to learn and is great for fat burning, toning and feeling great.

Step

A great aerobic workout that uses a low level step to maximise toning to the lower body.

Step Circuits

This class consists of different exercises, all using the step. By going from one to the next you maximise effort on every muscle group.

Stretch 'n' Tone

Low intensity, low impact session that concentrates on mobility, flexibility and relaxation while gently increasing the heart rate.

Spinning

The original indoor cycling program. From the U.S.A, this low impact, invigorating, fat burning session uses a static bike to take you on a journey through hills, flats, sprints and much more. This is suitable for all fitness levels, as you control the intensity.
